Hi, I'm Liam

As a master's student at the University of Washington, I focus on the intersection of human-centered AI and healthcare. I'm driven by two key questions: How can we use AI, especially LLMs, to build tools that enhance our health? And how do we ensure our interactions with these technologies are themselves healthy and beneficial? My ultimate goal is to apply my skills to build systems that make a meaningful difference in people's lives.

My Interests

AI & Technology

  • Human-Centered AI tools that prioritize human needs, ethics, and well-being.
  • Personalized Recommendation Systems and the use of embeddings to represent complex relationships.
  • Applied Large Language Models in domains from content creation and data analysis to conversational interfaces.

Healthcare & Computational Biology

  • Understanding and addressing personal health, nutrition, and sleep using devices and algorithms.
  • Transcriptomics and proteomics analysis with applications in prognostication and treatment planning.
